Our Thoughts - 'Social Path' Series

Our Thoughts - 'Social Path' Series
The Iran Affair:
This takes me back to the 1962 ‘Cuban Missile Crises’ of JFK’s time in the White House. It is said that we have never been so close to Nuclear War then at that time in History. Thankfully, cooler heads (JFK) prevailed. JFK was being told NOT to take the offer from Russia in moving our Nuke’s out of Turkey. It was a public statement from Russia and very hard to not, in the political field and public opinion, look at. JFK prevailed over his ‘staff’ wanting to invade Cuba, which in turn would have most likely started, if not Nuclear, then a World War.
Now jump to today, or even to 2002, when we were told that Iraq had WMD’s, they had the charts, photographs and everything…yet, none were found, in fact Iraq wasn’t even capable of producing such weapons but we still went to War and, with sanctions, killed over 500,000 children alone. When asked by 60 minutes if that was an ‘Acceptable Loss’ Madeleine Albright went on to say…’YES’.
